Professional Bio

Keith completed his undergraduate education at UNC Asheville and graduate training in clinical/medical psychology at University of Alabama at Birmingham where he developed a clinical focus in using 3rd wave CBT interventions such as ACT to treat serious and persistent mental illness. Joining UNC first as an intern, he worked at the campus Family Medicine Center and Piedmont Health’s primary care clinic providing brief intervention and assessment to underserved populations in integrated care environments. Since joining SPI as a postdoctoral fellow, Keith has worked in numerous inpatient and outpatient environments, specializing in treating complex trauma and dissociative disorders in high-risk patients. In his free time, Keith enjoys travel, spending time with his 2 cats and 2 dogs, playing beach volleyball, and hiking.
