“I had the opportunity to work with an adolescent in the midst of recovery from an eating disorder, and we simultaneously helped her gain skills and confidence in navigating suicidal thoughts that arose periodically throughout recovery. Although the work isn't finished, this patient's confidence and quality of life have dramatically improved. This is a perfect example of the importance of interdisciplinary work and dynamically addressing the ebbs and flows of suicidality over time.”

“A person presented at the clinic with hopes to better manage anxiety that he had been living with for several years and anger difficulties impacting family relationships. We met biweekly for seven sessions in which time he showed quick uptake in understanding and applying the tenants of acceptance and commitment therapy introduced in-session. He reported steadily increasing satisfaction with his career, his home life, and a reconnection with creative pursuits with which he had lost touch. We completed his course of care having made significant progress toward his goals and an optimistic outlook regarding his ability to continue to implement established coping skills.”
